Level Devil looks like the gentlest platformer you have ever seen: a tiny character, a flat strip of floor and a door at the far end. Then you start walking. Blocks vanish under your feet, spikes rise out of ground you just crossed, and the exit slides away as you reach for it. The whole game is about learning that the level is an opponent, not a course.

Each stage is short, often over in seconds once you know the answer, so a session is a string of quick deaths and small discoveries rather than long runs. How to play

Move with the left and right arrow keys and jump with the up arrow. Reach the door to finish the stage. Nothing more is asked of your fingers; the difficulty is entirely in deciding what you can trust.

When you die you restart the stage at once, so treat each attempt as a scouting run. Note where something moved, and plan the next try around it.

Tips

1. Die on purpose early in a stage. Walking the route once to see what triggers is faster than trying to clear it blind.
2. Be suspicious of gaps, empty space and anything that looks like an obvious path. The trap is usually the most inviting spot.
3. Traps are triggered by where you stand, so the same trigger tends to fire the same way each attempt. Memorise the order, then move with rhythm instead of caution.
4. If a jump looks impossible, check whether a different route, or a trap you can use to your advantage, is doing the work.
